If you can’t be Rory McIlroy, dress like him

He’s the world no.1 and this week Rory McIlroy is aiming for a career Grand Slam at the Masters 2015.  Will he?  Won’t he?  We’re watching closely as he takes on the only major championship he has left to conquer.

 For most of us that kind of performance is a pipe dream, but it’s not going to stop us from fantasising that it’s us out there in Georgia when we’re whiling away the weekends on the UK’s finest courses.

For those of us who like to take it a step further however, it’s Nike and Adidas to the rescue this week.  While we may not quite play the part of McIlroy, we can certainly look now that the sports brands have released the clothing that leading players are wearing throughout the tournament.

 Scripts include those of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Jason Day, and Dustin Johnson for each of their four days in Augusta.  As far as our hero is concerned that means everything from the Legacy mesh cap to the Modern Major Polo and Nike Lunar Control 3 golf shoes.

Well, if this lot’s good enough for those guys then I guess it’s good enough for us.  Buy it today and look like McIlroy himself tomorrow… well, sort of.
