Description

Product Code: ping-i230-steel-irons

Millions of golfers flock to Ping golf irons for their playability and looks, but most of all for the fitting experience and perfect individual fit for every individual. How can you beat a set of irons that are tailored exactly for yourself? you can’t really.

The new Ping i230 steel shafted irons are performance-packed and tour-proven to deliver more control and more control. Other eye-catching attributes include increased moment of inertia (MOI) for incredible forgiveness, tighter and elevated impact experience dispersion and all-weather control. The ever-reliable Stewart Cink was spotted gaming these new i230’s at the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews back in July 2022.

The design is gorgeous and highly confidence-inspiring, benefiting from a multi-material, five-piece construction for optimum ball striking. The body is a 431 stainless steel with tungsten weights at the toe and tip. A concealed activated elastomer insert gives great feel and feedback, as does the multi-part cavity badge. The elastomer insert is 1/8 density of stainless steel, saving 21grams of weight and allowing Ping designers to lower both the centre of gravity and moment of inertia.

The look is majestic and classy, with a more rounded leading edge for ample bounce and great turf interaction. These are tour-inspired blade lengths, with the 3/4/5 irons more compact than the prior generation i210 model. With the mid/short irons the same blade length as the Ping i210.

The tour-proven Micromax™ face groves are fully machined and give constant launch and spin in the longer irons and control and spin in the shorter scoring irons, even in wet weather. The stock shaft is the optimised Dynamic Gold 105, with the Lamkin Crossline grip in black.

These will suit low-to mid-handicap players nicely.
