The blackbird is named after the long-range reconnaissance aircraft that was introduced in 1966 and was capable of speeds in excess of Mach 3+.
The traditional plumber's neck hosel will give the Blackbird a mid-toe hang. A highly versatile neck that will suit both straight and slight arc putting strokes. Ideal for players with a mild amount of face rotation. With the most offset of all three types of hosel, the plumber's neck promotes hitting the ball later in the stroke, giving a more upward stroke on the ball for that perfect true roll
This is a striking design that will be appreciated by golfers everywhere. The head is a perfect mix of lightweight aluminium in the body and strategically placed heavy tungsten weighting to give it that killer stability and forgiveness. The centre of gravity is really deep, and provides the ultimate stability option for you. Those gorgeous looks are quite like nothing else out there. A single alignment line runs right through the top of Blackbird for simple aiming.
The Blackbird putter can be adjusted to your own personal preference with the four weights in the sole, altering head weight and launch conditions. By adding a PXG weight kit to your order during checkout, you can adjust the head weight by at least -15g or +20g. That's great adjustability.
As with every model in the Battle Ready line up, the Blackbird's underside displays the now famous Darkness Insignia skull with the number 26 embedded within it. This is to signify Bob Parson's service as a rifleman with the 26th Regiment of the United States Marine Corps during the 1955-1975 Vietnam War.
