This is a brand new model from Ping for 2023 and is aimed at golfers with slower swing speeds, primarily around the 75 mph mark or between 75 and 90 mph would be considered slower. The Ping G430 SFT HL model not only gives Straight Flight Technology but also greater distance gains due to the lighter head, strategically placed tungsten weight, Alta Quick shafts and 41g Lamkin grips.
For golfers who struggle for straight ball flight and distance, the all-new 2023 Ping SFT HL fairway woods will be an obvious choice. SFT (straight flight technology) is designed with heel-biased weighting to aid straighter shots. There is also a 5.5-gram tungsten weight to aid forgiveness and ease of striking, this strategically positioned tungsten sole weight serves to increase the moment of inertia or MOI. The trusted Trajectory Tuning 2.0 adjustability is again used in this model to fine-tune player preference, this is a lightweight and aerodynamic hosel sleeve that gives eight positions to change loft and lie and to maximise distance and accuracy.
Facewrap is again used in this model, this high strength maraging steel face wrap flows into both the sole and the crown of the club to increase flexing. Spinsistency aids shots that are struck low on the face, shots that are struck low on the face will leave the club with lower spin and increased ball speed. Low strikes are the most common of all mishits with fairway woods, so this technology will be welcomed with open arms. The new 2023 colour scheme looks superb, the new silver/yellow detail in particular looks amazing. Straight flight with long distance, a winner for any golfer.
