Description

Product Code: mizuno-jpx-923-hot-metal-hi-launch-graphite-golf-irons

Mizuno have just released their latest irons in the shape of these gorgeous JPX 923 Hot Metal Hi-Launch Graphite irons. Designed for the golfer who likes a nice high ball flight and has a moderate swing speed. This set comes with premium UST Mamiya Recoil graphite shafts, adding great looks and even more speed through the lightweight construction. Mizuno states that these are a great choice for the mid to high handicap golfer, with no official level definitions to look at we feel this is between 10 and 20 handicap. This means a golfer who scores in the low 80's to the mid 90's more often than not.

JPX stands for ‘’Japan Performance Extreme’’ an apt name for this great iron. JPX started life way back in 2011 with the very first JPX 800. Following models came in 2013 with the 825, in 2015 with the 850, in 2017 with the 900 in 2019 with the 919 and lastly with the 2021 - 921 model. As you can see, a new model is brought to market consistently every 2 years.

Even though the clubface is 8% thinner, the new 4335 Nickel Chromoly metal is 35% stronger, this gives high ball speeds from off the face. The solid vibration pattern comes from Mizuno’s new V-Chassis, a great sound and feel that will be appreciated immediately.

The thinnest part of the sole is extended by 18%, this creates a wider and more energised area. Increased stopping power is realised by the seamless cup face construction, providing a deep centre of gravity (CG) for that all-important high-launch and ball landing angle. Precise centre of gravity placement gives all the forgiveness possible, whilst shots struck low on the face are still met with good launch and flight. No JPX iron model has ever disappointed, and this new 923 Hot Metal High-Launch model will be no exception.

The non-reflective satin finish reduces glare and is class throughout. The Nickle Chromoly name is stamped into the hosel to add a nice finishing touch. A classy-looking new iron set from Mizuno Golf that is not lacking in distance-boosting technology or forgiveness in any way. A solid choice for the golfer with a moderate swing speed. A brilliant blend of forgiveness, distance and feel.
