It doesn't just measure distances on the course, it can also be used as a game improvement tool when you are practising. It has a built-in launch monitor mode which allows you to find out your clubhead speed, ball speed, swing distance and estimated distance. It can also measure your swing tempo to ensure that you are swinging the club at the optimum pace for you. The device has four practice/game modes that help you to groove your swing. The G80 comes with over 41,000 courses worldwide preloaded with each of the courses showing the most up to date detail. The device also features a 'plays like' mode which gives you distances that have been adjusted to take into account ground layout such as uphill or downhill shots. The pinpointer option shows you the location of the green on blind shots. The device also has the ability to zoom into the green to get a more accurate distance for the location of the pin.
