Finally, after a few months of intense physio and rehab, Nike's Rory McIlroy has confirmed that he will be pegging up next week to defend his USPGA Championship title. Rory is off in the marquee group at 1:20pm CT (7:20pm BST) with this years Masters and US Open champion Jordan Speith, and the recently crowned Open champion Zach Johnson.

Confirmed by a somewhat ambiguous Instagram photo, Rory has confirmed that he will be playing and has since flown into Wisconsin to play a practice round the Saturday before play officially starts on Thursday. Rumors started appearing when he posted a video of him ripping a driver on the range last week, and from then on we've been looking forward to the announcement.
