TaylorMade’s Spider series putters need no introduction. The familiar Spider shape has been seen on Tour for nearly 20 years, used by some of the best professionals on the planet to win some of the game’s biggest prizes.
The Spider Tour X, made famous by Rory McIlroy, is one of the most sought-after designs in the new range. Originally designed for players who liked a Blade-style putter, the Spider Tour X provided a compact shape with Blade-like feel. Like all Spider putters, alignment and forgiveness are paramount, and the proprietary True PathTM Alignment and Pure RollTM technologies are at the fore. To maintain the stability famous with the brand, each Spider Tour Series putter is crafted using multi-material construction to push weight low and back in the head, providing over 700 MOI more than the previous model, creating the most stable putter ever designed by TaylorMade.
A steel wireframe construction allows weight distribution and CG location to be better controlled. In the Spider Tour X, the CG is located 33mm from the face, compared to 35mm in the Spider Tour. This adds extra forgiveness for a smooth putting stroke, which promotes confidence on every putt. A new HYBRAR Echo® Damper used in TaylorMade’s Stealth HD irons is placed directly behind the face to dampen vibrations, delivering a responsive sound and feel, putt after putt.
