These S23 Wedges come with all-new ideas, designed with centralised sweet spot technology, this enables a more consistent strike by making it easier to find a more repeatable action to achieve higher spin numbers. The answer is impressive spin rates, versatility, soft forged feel and a range of lofts and bounces to cater for all types of swings. These new S23 Wedges will provide all those attributes.
The exceptional feel comes from the butter-soft one-piece grain flow forging process, this gives valuable feedback for distance control. The S23 differs somewhat from conventional wedges, with Mizuno introducing a central sweet spot. They have achieved this by shortening the hosel and adding a clever heel-orientated back cavity to allow the mass to be repositioned towards the toe of the wedge. The centralised sweet spot allows longer impact time, less head deflection and higher spin from full or partial shots.
The longer groove life span is achieved by the quad-cut milled, which is infused into Boron 1025 mild carbon steel, this process keeps the grooves sharper for much longer. These grooves also give exceptional wet weather performance with Mizuno’s HydroFlow Micro Grooves being laser etched to release moisture and reduce spin drop-off. Stronger lofts feature a tear-drop straight edge, flowing gently into a more rounded lob wedge. Available in two lovely finishes, white satin brush chrome or copper cobalt finishes. Choose the finish that best suits your eye. Both choices are highly durable to keep them looking pristine. These wedges will be a massive hit for Mizuno.
The 4 grind options are as follows:
S-Grind – With minimal sole grind for fuller shots and lower lofts.
D Grind – With moderate heel and toe relief. Allowing manipulation of the face.
C Grind – Heavy heel and toe relief for more skilled players and firmer ground conditions.
X Grind – Extreme heel and toe relief for the proficient short game player.
