Description

If you’ve been waiting for the new instalment of the Mizuno JPX Iron you are going to be a very happy bunny. This new 2023 JPX 923 Forged Steel iron set is just out of this world, a serious iron set with blade-like looks and feel but with cavity-back forgiveness. There is definitely a softer feel from these compared to the hugely popular 921 models. That must come from the sleeker and slimmer design with minimal offset and a perfect-looking topline that better players will love. The look of a blade but with more forgiveness. The forging process has also been changed for improved feel. The back milled fully forged head now has 3 strikes instead of the two in previous models. The consistent grain flow gives better feel at impact.

Is there a better looking iron anywhere? You decide, we already have. Aesthetically it is magnificent, the more matt/satin chrome plated finish is non-reflective to reduce glare and will be welcomed by all. Flowing sleeker lines with subtle branding to give that irresistible Mizuno look. JPX stands for ‘’Japan Performance Extreme’’ and this highly successful series started life back in 2011 with the JPX 800. Further models came to market with the 2013-825, 2015-850, 2017-900, 2019-919 and 2021-921.

Mizuno’s vibration-controlling V-Chassis and deep centre of gravity (CG) are again used but reworked with a new design to thin out the topline. Mizuno has heard the cries for a thinner top line and delivered it for these new JPX 923 Forged Steel Irons. The 8% thinner face means greater feel and feedback to the golfer and a 16% larger COR area, it was already fantastic! The sound ribs and V-Chassis cavity design with Harmonic Impact Technology give that unique sound that Mizuno are famous for. Mizuno have studied in excess of 175,000 swings with real golfers and highlighted launch patterns, speed, sound and feel.

These come with Kim Braly Signature steel shafts (KBS) Taper Lite Chrome Shafts and come 5 to PW (6 clubs) These come in either regular or stiff flex and show love for the ‘’lefty’’ golfer with a set made for left-handed golfers.
