The Cobra research and development team have been working on the latest range of drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and irons using all of the expertise and experience they have built up over the years. They present their Speedzone range which includes their men's King Speedzone driver. This driver, as with all clubs in this range, benefit from the use of all the latest technological advances to give you the best opportunity to play your best golf.
Cobra have made speed and distance their mantra when developing this driver. They have made improvements in a number areas to achieve their aims. The clubface has been CNC milled in order to expand the area on the face to give maximum ball speed whilst also ensuring that the face is very forgiving when the ball is not struck right out the middle. The driver has a traditionally shaped head and has centre of gravity (CG) adjustability which is ideal for those golfers who want to be able to shape the ball with different launch and spin.
The driver head features a new Titanium T-bar for added lightweight strength. The remainder of the Titanium head has been replaced by lighter Carbon fibre allowing the designers to redistribute that weight lower and further back around the edges of the head. This creates a lower CG, more speed and lower spin rate to help launch the ball into the air. The design of the head encourages airflow reduction which in turn increases clubhead speed.
There are 2 lofts available in the driver at 9 and 10.5 degree. The club is fitted with Cobra's Myfly8 technology. This allows you to increase/decrease loft to get the loft setting to suit your swing. Loft can be adjusted in 0.5 degree increments to +/- 1.5 degrees and there is also a draw setting for each loft where adjustable weight can be moved in the clubhead. A tour length shaft length is available. Each driver gives you the choice of a gloss black/yellow or matt black/white head colour. It is fitted with a Lamkin Crossline Connect grip and a number of different shaft options. The Cobra Connect system powered by Arccos with sensors in the grip is also fitted so you are able to track your shot by shot performance at the end of the round.
