Duca del Cosma began its humble origins in 2007 and was the brainchild of Italian designer Baldavino Mattiazzo. Baldavino was born in Venice and was educated at the Sarteco fashion school in Florence. He graduated as one of the top students and decided to take his talents into the fashion world of golf. With a strong belief that the golfing world could use an injection of style and fashion, he set about creating his own innovative designs and colour schemes. This is how Duca del Cosma was born.
Over the last decade, Duca del Cosma’s popularity has grown tremendously thanks to the vibrant colour schemes and unique designs, enabling the brand to become a major player in high-end golf shoes. In 2016, the company was taken over by Frank and Caroline van Wezel, famed for creating the footwear brand HI-Tec. Working with footwear brands for over 40 years, van Wezels brought all their experience to Duca del Cosma. Combined with the chic Italian inspiration behind the technology and designs, this makes Duca del Cosma one of the most sought-after brands in the golf shoe world.
