Ping has just unveiled their new G430 range and in that range is this brand-new G430 HL Hybrid. This model is designed to help slower-swinging golfers achieve the maximum amount of distance with its ultra-lightweight components throughout.
Studying players of all abilities, Ping realised that slower swing speeds need help to get that ball out there. This model comes with a lighter head design, strategically placed 5.5g tungsten weight, Alta Quick 45g shaft and 41g Lamkin grip to give it the speed required to gain every last yard possible. The target clubhead speed is 75 mph, golfers with swing speeds of 75 to 90 mph would be considered slower. Anywhere in that range will be just fine.
As with all the new G430 drivers and fairway wood range, these come with all the same performance benefits to give unparalleled forgiveness. Trajectory Tuning 2.0 adjustability is again used, this is a lightweight hosel sleeve with eight positions to change loft and lie and to maximise and dial-in distance and accuracy. Facewrap has been highly successful over the last year so is once again incorporated. This high-strength maraging steel face wrap flows into both the sole and the crown of the club to increase flexing anywhere across the face. Spinsistency is also incorporated to give consistent results on strikes hit low on the face. Low strikes are the most common of all mishits with a hybrid club so this technology will priceless.
