Description

Mizuno are a golf company that every golfer respects and know for their uncompromising quality and attention to detail. The wedges they produce are always high performing with killer looks to match. Mizuno has strived to create the best golfing products for over 115 years, and the new T22 Wedges adhere firmly to the quality and spirit that is applied, whilst bringing the benefits that modern technology can provide. The T in the name stands for teardrop, accurately describing the shape of the clubhead.

The new T22 wedges refine Mizuno's preferred player's shape once again, with four different sole grinds for varying player techniques and ground conditions. These T-Series wedges provide an unrivalled touch and feel around the greens, developed hand in hand with the likeable Englishman and former world #1 Luke Donald. The T22's are one-piece grain forged using HD Boron steel and feature a microlayer of copper beneath the nickel chrome to give split-second control at impact with the ball. The top edge has been bevelled to retain the performance of the T20, but keep the desirable looks of the iconic T7. Both models had a huge following for different reasons.

The new T22's display a more compact, modified teardrop profile, with that bevelled edge to make it appear thinner along the topline. The spin weighted blade design and tapered upper portion of the blade, give a more consistent spin and a more penetrating ball flight. Mizuno's proprietary HydroFlow Micro grooves make sure the T22 delivers in wet weather conditions. The laser etching cleverly releases moisture and reduces spin drop off. The longer and more effective life span is achieved by quad cut milled grooves that are infused into Boron steel, this process will keep the grooves sharp for much longer.

The 2022 T22 now sees the return of the iconic Blue IP Plating. This stunning blue finish is softer than standard chrome with a copper underlay beneath for great feel. A great addition to the other 3 finishes of Satin Chrome, Denim Copper and Raw finishes. T = stands for Teardrop, accurately describing the shape of the clubhead, whilst the Blue IP stands for (Ion Plated) finish.

Now available in four lovely finishes, Denim Copper, Satin Chrome, Raw Finish. and now the iconic IP Blue. The Raw finish comes without the copper underlay, over time this will rust over nicely, a look preferred by many Mizuno Tour players. As we all know, rust equals great spin! Choose the finish and grind that best suits your style and game.

The Expanded grind options are as follows:

S-Grind – With minimal sole grind for fuller shots and lower lofts.

D Grind – With moderate heel and toe relief. Allowing manipulation of the face.

C Grind – Heavy heel and toe relief for more skilled players and firmer ground conditions.

X Grind – Extreme heel and toe relief for the proficient short game player.
