King Cobra has unveiled their all-new Snakebite wedges for the 2021 season, employing all of Cobra's know-how and expertise to deliver a stellar looking wedge that performs on all fronts. The beautiful design features a nostalgic throwback King Cobra logo, harking back to the rich and illustrious history of the brand. The new Snakebite groove design is designed and engineered to maximise spin and impart more 'bite' around the greens for spinning drop and stop performance.
The Snakebite groove technology employs a re-engineered cutting method that replaces cutting tools to tighten groove tolerances, maximise groove volume and create the sharpest most accurate grooves possible for drop and stop accuracy. The groove depth has been increased by 11% which sharpens the edges by a staggering 40% to impart incredible on the ball. A progressive groove system utilises progressive groove lengths and shapes to optimise spin in each wedge loft.
The 48 to 54-degree lofts feature a traditional groove length and narrower and deeper groves to deliver impressive and consistent spin and trajectories on the lower lofted wedges that are used with either a square or de-lofted face. The 56 to 60-degree lofts feature full-face groove length and wider, shallower grooves to allow maximum spin on shots with an open face when the ball is more likely to make contact with the high toe area of the club. The faces are precisely CNC milled on each wedge to create the most precise face and groove shapes for the ultimate spin and trajectory combination. Stellar looks coupled with high-performance, the snakebite is destined to become a sure-fire winner this year.
