Description

The original Srixon 2021 ZX5 Iron set was a top 5 performer across many platforms and was highly acclaimed. Now comes the improved ZX5 MK II for 2023 which is loaded from grip to sole with amazing features to lower scores. This is a player’s distance iron and is engineered for low to mid-handicap golfers who want mid-to-high workability and high forgiveness in one club. The ZX5 MK II Steel irons are for aspiring golfers who want accurate and easy-hitting irons and want long-distance to boot.

With the next-generation A. I designed MainFrame placed at the back of the face, the golfer gets lovely sound, feel and feedback combined. Mass is positioned away from the face and into the toe and sole for a lower centre of gravity or COG.‘’Fast and pure’’ is the tagline. These combine a premium forged feel with advanced ball speed and distance technology. The razor-sharp aesthetics will certainly appeal to better players who insist on thinner toplines and narrower soles. The ZX5 MK II features a forged multi-piece construction, namely forged SUP10 faces and forged 1020 carbon steel bodies. The face is strong yet soft feeling, increasing flex at impact for blistering speed off the face. Forged 1020 carbon steel is used to dampen any vibrations and vastly improve the feel.

Srixon uses A.I intelligence in designing and building their irons, making more speed possible through research. The MainFrame body is a variable thickness pattern of grooves, channels and cavities milled into the back side of the face that maximises flex at impact. This boosts COR and repositions mass away from the face and into the toe and sole to lower the centre of gravity. Consistency and forgiveness are outstanding. Progressive grooves feature throughout the ZX5 MK II set, with the 4 to 7 irons featuring wider grooves for better long-distance strikes, and the 8 to AW (approach wedge) having deeper and closer grooves to enhance spin closer to the green. Srixon’s unique and proprietary Tour V.T Sole allows a combination of sole widths, bounce angles and notches to give smooth turf interaction anywhere on the course. The strike is consistent and solid, even if the ground is hit slightly behind the ball. You can’t overlook these irons with this amount of technology and sublime looks to match.
