This ST-X 230 model provides a more rounded and deeper profile with weight located closer to the hosel. This gives a slightly higher spinning driver with higher launch and a slight draw bias to combat those unwanted slices. The driver will still be workable for better/elite players, especially in the lower lofts. Natural drawers of the ball will experience greater ball speed with the CORTECH Chamber coming into play, this will come off the fast faster, spin less and give that distinctive sound and feel that Mizuno is famous for. The CORTECH chamber encases a 3-gram stainless steel weight with elastomeric TPU. This new feature takes the stress away from the clubface. This also pushes weight closer to the face to reduce spin rates and keep balls flying in the right direction when the ball doesn't come from the centre of the face. Mizuno testing has shown gains of between 2 and 5mph, this is always welcomed. A unified carbon sole plate pushes weight to the extremes of the head for higher stability than ever before. Mass in the head is spread evenly to encourage a stable strike every time. Stable and forgiving, we love that combination.
