The new F max Superlite graphite irons from Cobra exhibit all of the same properties as the new steel shafted irons do other than it is a graphite shafted club. The iron is 16 grams lighter than its predecessor. This helps to increase the ball speed for those golfers who swing smoothly.
Cobra have altered the centre of gravity (CG) in these clubs by lowering it and moving it to the heel/toe to offer maximum forgiveness and stability when the ball does not quite come out of the centre of the club. Cobra have also used a system where the short irons have taller hosels to raise the CG giving control over ball flight whilst the longer irons have shorter hosels to lower the CG which promotes a higher launch to give more distance. As well as changing the hosel length, the hosel is offset with a gradual increase in angle from wedges down to the longer irons.
The ball is further assisted to be launched into the air by the low profile design and deep cavity back of the iron. Cobra have added extra loft on all of the irons to get a higher, more optimum ball flight. The iron comes in a classy premium chrome finish which is durable as well as looking good.
When it comes to graphite shafted clubs, there are choices to be made. The shafts are still very light which helps golfers with a smooth swing to gain extra distance. There are 2 stock sets of 7 piece combination of hybrids/irons available for men, all with graphite shafts in right and left handed versions.
Ladies also have the option of a combination set of hybrid/irons which is a 7 piece set comprising of 5H, 6H, 7 to PW & SW. This is available both in left and right handed versions and come in a ladies flex graphite shaft. The final option is a ladies graphite iron set which comprises of 6 to SW with a ladies flex shaft, again available both in right handed and left handed versions.
The clubs are fitted with a new midsize Lamkin Rel 360 grip (standard for ladies). Both the shaft and grips are lighter than in previous models.
Cobra have thought of everything in the range of irons. There has surely got to be a set that is right for your game.
