The Cobra revolution is now upon us. Their 'one-length' clubs have been an amazing success due to a number of wins by Bryson DeChambeau, one of their staff professionals. He has embraced this technology which has allowed all of the irons in the bag to be the same shaft length as the 7-iron giving you more control over those harder to hit long irons. The new Speedzone One length Steel shafted irons display those characteristics. The topline of the iron which used to be steel are now 2 strips of Carbon fibre which is about 40% lighter. This has allowed extra weight to be placed lower, deeper and towards the periphery of the head to encourage a faster ball speed together with higher launch.

This is aided by the Pwrshell technology in the face which with a lower centre of gravity (CG) helps to create a high launch even with stronger lofted irons. As well as encouraging extra speed, the irons also have been to be stable in order to ensure that the ball goes in the right direction and does not twist at impact. This is done with the wider body design around the edge of the club. A co-moulded medallion system enables the head to dampen vibration at impact to ensure feel is maximised. It also ensures that it sounds just right when the ball is truck even if not out the middle.

Grooves are also a very important part of this club manufacturing system. The 4 to 6 iron has V-grooves to reduce spin whilst 7 to PW come with U-grooves which give the optimum amount of spin. PW/SW produce maximum spin for those short shots into the green. There is progressive weighting throughout the set. This makes the longer irons easier to hit and gives maximum control over the shorter irons.

These irons have a standard KBS Tour 80 (4-6 incl), KBS Tour 90 (7-9 incl) and KBS Wedge (PW/ SW) shaft in stiff or regular flex and a Lamkin Crossline Connect Blue grip. This grip allows you to keep track of each and every shot that you hit with electronic sensors in the grip which can monitored using the Arccos system on your smartphone.
