As with Cobra's new F-Max Airspeed Driver, the Fairway woods in the range have also benefited from the use of a Carbon fibre clubhead as opposed to Titanium. This allows for a significant weight saving in the head itself which is redistributed lower and towards the heel of the club. This allows you to obtain more clubhead speed, which therefore gives you a greater distance with more forgiveness. The design, with the additional weighting, helps to create a draw bias so will certainly help those golfers who are prone to slicing the ball. The companies new PWR ridge design allows you to square the clubface up to the target so alignment is much easier. This also helps with the aerodynamics of the club.
The clubface of these new fairway woods are shallower and are a low profile. The Centre of Gravity (CG) is lowered due to the design of the face. This helps to launch the ball higher in the air for more carry. The shaft and the grip are also lighter than in previous models so that also increases clubhead speed. These fairway woods are available in both right-handed and left-handed options with the lofts available being 16/20/23 degrees. The stock shafts are the Cobra Airspeed 45 shaft in Lite flex with a regular and stiff flex with the Cobra Airspeed 50 shaft. All fairway woods feature the Lamkin REL black midsize grip.
These fairway woods are the lightest and easiest clubs to hit. Get yourself down to the Golfsupport store to be custom-fitted so that you can play your best golf.
