A further driver from TaylorMade's new SIM2 Max D ( SIM-Shape In Motion) range is specifically designed to promote a draw or at the very least to stop the ball fading uncontrollably, and is available to both men and women. Their SIM2 Max D driver has just been launched and will help you straighten out your driving or give you the desired right to left (Draw) shape that yields extra yards due to the topspin of the ball. Often, standard draw bias designs promote a right to left ball flight at the expense of forgiveness.....not here! By reconstructing the driver's head and moving the asymmetrical inertia generator closer to the heel, The SIM2 Max D driver is able to maintain forgiveness and while enhancing draw bias. The head shape has been specifically designed to increase club head speed by cutting down drag. This allows a faster club head speed which in turn translates into a faster ball speed when the ball is struck giving you greater distance. The shape of the head allows the positioning of the rear weight to create a high MOI which gives incredible forgiveness.
Speed Injected technology improves ball speed over the whole of the club face which by definition gives great forgiveness for strikes not out of the centre of the club. Twist Face technology comes with an oversized club face. The corrective face design allows you to straighten out those shots that go offline and with the draw bias should help to draw the ball. The loft sleeve allows you to alter the loft of the club up to 2 degrees higher or lower which gives you the opportunity to get the perfect ball flight for your game.
The driver also comes with Twist face technology. The face of the club is slightly larger and uses a corrective face design to straighten out those shots that leak both left and right whilst giving you confidence with the larger club face. The speed injected twist face improves ball speed by calibrating each head to the threshold of the legal speed limit, while the corrective face curvature protects against those sometimes costly heel and toe miss-hits.
The asymmetric SIM inertia generator is designed to provide faster ball speeds through advanced geometry and aerodynamic analytics. A new lightweight carbon sole allows the redistribution of mass for a deeper centre of gravity and enhanced forgiveness.
TaylorMade's Thru-Slot speed pocket is cleverly engineered and designed to maximise ball speed and produce extra forgiveness on low face strikes. The split-mass weighting allows for pin-point target swing weights during custom assembly. An incredible mid-launch driver with low spin. Loved by amateurs and professionals alike.
The head of the club is made from a forged ring construction and is the key to a new dimension in distance and forgiveness, forged from a lightweight and high strength aluminium that is milled to an exacting shape. The SIM2 Max D Driver unites a 22-gram rear weight, a full carbon sole, crown and a new milled back cup face. All this new innovation and design all add up to increased stability and forgiveness, allowing the golfer to feel full confidence on any tee shot they are faced with. The weight is positioned precisely to give a lower CG enabling you to launch the ball into the air. There are 3 loft options for men, these being 9/10.5/12 degrees whilst ladies have the option of 10.5/12 degree loft. The shaft of choice is the Fujikura Air Speeder 45 (Reg/Stiff flex/Senior flex) and an Aldila NV Ladies 45 light flex shaft for women. The men's shafts are fitted with a Golf Pride Z-Grip, whilst the ladies shaft has a Lamkin ladies Sonar grip.
