Mizuno have just released their new ST-220 Range and it is the most innovative and technologically advanced range to date. The all-new ST-Z 220 provides a low spinning and efficient straight ball flight that will astonish you. The next generation of stability and exceptional consistency is here to purchase right now from Golfsupport.
With a modern and ground-hugging 460cc design that inspires confidence the moment it is placed in your hands. The ST-Z is the most played driver in the range, a modern driver that is especially aesthetically pleasing for the better/elite player. The addition of a 20-gram back weight gives the ST-Z a deeper centre of gravity for exceptional forgiveness. Off-centre strikes are met with positive results, this is facilitated by a 40% expansion of the carbon sole area and also thinning out the titanium section, in conjunction with the new doubling of the back weight. Any twisting or deflecting due to off-centre striking is counteracted by the clever internal weighting, creating a far more stable driver. Ball speed drop off is now negligible say Mizuno, improving with every season that passes. Launch and spin have been massively tightened with this new ST 220 range.
Featuring Mizuno's Z-Axis design, the weight is evenly distributed across the toe and heel to encourage a more stable and low spinning straight flight. As you would expect from this elite golf manufacturer, the materials are carefully chosen and implemented to optimise ball speeds. A highly resilient and forged SAT2041 Beta Ti face and multi-thickness CORTECH design ensures ball speeds are maintained to the maximum.
Mizuno pride themselves in the sound they achieve in the ST range and the new Z-220 is certainly no exception. The companies' harmonic research has built sound into the design, delivering vibration patterns that better players associate with solid feel. The optimised wave sole also contributes to added ball speeds, especially from low on the clubface where that help is needed from time to time. 4º of loft setting adjustability allows personal fine-tuning of launch and trajectory. Right-handed players have the choice of 9.5 and 10 degrees, whilst left-handed players have 9.5 degrees only. Nothing feels like Mizuno- more performance, more often.
